
A Planning Workshop was held for recipients of the SEEP Network global grants for Urban Value Chain Development from 27 April to 1 May. Mercy Corps, Swisscontact, PUPUK and Micra are the consortium members implementing the value chain work in the Tofu and Tempe sectors of greater Jakarta. Mary McVay, Aly Miehlbradt and Sonali Chowdhury from SEEP Washington provided inputs. The workshop also had participants from similar programmes in Kenya and India.

Ms. Beatrice Maser Mallor, Ambassador and Delegate of the Swiss Government for Trade Agreements – State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) – visited Swisscontact on 6 May 2009. She was accompanied by Mr. Jurg Schnieder from Seco and Ms. Sonja Huerlimann from the Swiss Embassy. Discussions focused on future activities in the context of SECO having Indonesia as a priority country for cooperation.
